Breakout Sessions:
Reimagining Education, Facilitated by Amy Nelson
Giving Models, Facilitated by Adam Rein
Measuring Effectiveness, Facilitated by Jason Saul
Our breakout discussions covered Reimagining Education, Giving Models, and Measuring Effectiveness. In the Giving Models session, a key theme was how families wrestle with using foundations and donor-advised funds (DAFs)—some see them as tools for collective decision-making and engaging the next generation, while others prefer to empower individual giving and avoid potential conflict. Perspectives varied widely, sparking a thoughtful discussion on balancing legacy, autonomy, and impact.
